CPD Accreditation for OMDDMS® Foundation and Practitioner Courses
The OMDDMS® standard sets it. The CPD Standards Office accredits it. Oliver Swift delivers it.
Here is what CPD accreditation means for candidates, and what to do with your CPD hours once you have them.

What CPD Accreditation Means for Candidates
CPD accreditation is an independent, third-party confirmation that a course satisfies globally recognised quality standards for professional development.
Because the accreditation attaches to the official courseware developed and controlled by OMDDMS, a candidate booking OMDDMS® Foundation or Practitioner courses with Oliver Swift receives the same accredited content, examined to the same standard, irrespective of the delivery organisation or the country of delivery.
On completion, candidates receive certification carrying the accreditation mark, which may be submitted to an employer or professional body as evidence within a CPD record or portfolio.
The Benefits of a CPD Accredited Course
Accredited provision is designed to keep knowledge and skills current, to satisfy the requirements of professional bodies and regulators, to build confidence and credibility, and to support progression into new or more senior roles.
Across the workforces of Africa, Australia, Canada, Europe, Hong Kong, India, the Middle East, New Zealand, Singapore, the UK, and the USA, CPD is expected of professionals in most sectors and is generally governed by sector specific professional bodies or regulators, of which there are more than four hundred internationally in formally regulated sectors. Tracked CPD is frequently a condition of maintaining a licence to practise.
Accreditation carries weight globally, which matters for a standard delivered internationally. The CPD Standards Office accreditation is recognised globally, and its certificates are accepted across professional sectors worldwide.
Demonstrating Professional Development
Accredited learning converts effort into evidence.
CPD supports career progression precisely because it produces a documented record of continuous learning and professional commitment that can be produced at appraisals, promotion rounds and accreditation reviews, and because it demonstrates accountability to employers, clients, regulators and professional bodies.
Recent research undertaken by The CPD Standards Office indicates that CPD is directly connected to employability, and that including a CPD section on a curriculum vitae may improve a candidate's prospects of securing a sought after role by as much as ten per cent.
For those responsible for operating model transformation, an accredited certificate offers an objective and verifiable benchmark of the capability held within a team.
What to Do With Your CPD Hours or Points
Your OMDDMS® certificate confirms the number of CPD hours awarded for this training. Here is what to do with them.
Keep Your Certificate
Your certificate is your evidence. It shows the course title, the date, and the number of CPD hours awarded. Store a copy somewhere you can retrieve easily. Most professional bodies ask for evidence only if you are selected for audit, sometimes years after the training. Your certificates are also available via your MYOMDDMS portal.
Check Your Professional Body's CPD Scheme
CPD requirements vary by institute. Annual hours or points targets, how "structured" training is categorised, and whether a reflective statement is required all differ. Check your professional body's CPD policy to see how this training maps onto their scheme.
Log Your CPD Activity
Most institutes require members to self-log CPD activity, usually through an online portal. You will typically need to record the activity type (formal, structured training), the provider name, the date completed, the hours awarded, and a short reflection on what you learned and how it applies to your role.
Retain Your Records
Most schemes require CPD evidence to be kept for two to three years for audit purposes. Keep your certificate for at least this long.
